Carolina Parada is a Marine Biologist (1994) and holds a M.Sc. Degree in Sciences m/Oceanography (1999) granted by the University of Concepcion, Chile. She obtained her PhD in Oceanography at the University of Capetown, South Africa, in 2003.
Her research areas are: oceanography, biophysical modelling and physical-biological coupling in the ocean. Climate variability and climate change, impact on marine and fisheries resources. Management based on ecosystem and ecosystematic modelling ('end to end' models). Transport and population connectivity. Population dynamic models and life history.
She is an Associate Researcher at the Department of Geophysics of the University of Concepcion.
