Full-time postdoctoral positions are available starting between September 1st 2021 and September 30th 2023 at the Millennium Institute of Oceanography (IMO) to undertake innovative research and to develop questions in three proposed topics within IMO’s larger research lines. Candidates will have to demonstrate experience and motivation to do research in their preferred research line, using observational, experimental and/or modelling approaches. Successful candidates will be expected to develop their research topics in association with two or more of IMO’s Associate Researchers, to publish their research as first author in high impact journals, to write and help write grants for external funding, and contribute collaboratively to related research projects.

Bases aquíWe hereby invite applications for a 4-year research associate position in coastal oceanography focused on air-sea interaction along the Chilean coast, beginning in 2019. We expect the successful candidate to work with us full time, subject to a yearly review of his/her performance. The positions will be held at University of Concepción, but we expect the successful candidate to visit the partner institutions on a regular basis, taking advantage of the large diversity of expertise within the CR2 as well as the center's distributed resources. Of particular relevance, the candidate is invited to use meteorological/oceanographic hourly observations obtained in a coastal buoy off Concepción and biogeochemical monthly data obtained farther offshore.
