El Mercurio newspaper interviewed Dr. Osvaldo Ulloa, director of the Millennium Institute of Oceanography (IMO), on a new international scientific expedition aiming at studying the Atacama Trench and involving Asian, American, European and Chilean scientists, who will work on board the German research vessel ‘Sonne’. The purpose of this interview was to learn about the expedition’s objectives and particularities along with the role that IMO researchers will play in it.
